Dear Shamrox Fans,

Welcome to the first edition of the Shamrox Scoop.

This email communication is the first of many scheduled direct-connects to you, our fans, with updates, information and what’s going on with the Chicago Shamrox......Chicago’s newest professional sports franchise in the country’s fastest growing sport......beginning indoor lacrosse play in the National Lacrosse League January 2007 at the new Sears Centre arena in suburban Hoffman Estates.

In this edition of the Shamrox Scoop, you will find information about the upcoming NLL Expansion Draft on Wednesday July 12 (the Shamrox pick first!), a Directory of Shamrox ownership and management, phone numbers and addresses, other news information and an update on ticket information.

As an organization, we will do our very best to work as hard as we can to have the best team on and off the field, as well as have the best partnership with our fans. On behalf of the entire Chicago Shamrox organization, we thank you for your interest and support. We are proud and excited to bring professional indoor lacrosse to the Chicagoland area.

Our Inaugural Season in the NLL starts in January. There will be eight home games, all weekend dates, all at the new Sears Centre arena. Within the Shamrox organization, much has been done, yet much more needs to be done before Opening Day. With any expansion team in any sport, it is an on-going building process, and every step is new…..new franchise, new ownership, new front office management, new Head Coach and coaching staff, new website, new stadium, new team name, new team logos, new team merchandise, new ticket information, new offices, new address, new phone numbers, new uniforms, new players……new, new, new….

Therefore, with so much “new” going on, it is very important to communicate, share this information and keep all our fans updated as to the Shamrox. And it is equally important to learn of the questions and needs of our fans as we prepare for the first-ever season of Chicago Shamrox indoor pro lacrosse. So we look to hear from you, too! We encourage your emails, phone calls, letters and personal reach-outs so we can help you get “psyched up” for the Shamrox.

Expansion Draft To Be Held On July 12
The Chicago Shamrox will officially have players on July 12 as the NLL will hold its 2006 Expansion Draft. Goalies such as Mike Miron, Phil Wetherup, Matt Vinc and Brandon Miller, as well as quality runners Pat Maddalena, Brian Biesel and many others have been left unprotected. Shamrox Name Jamie Batley Head Coach/GM
June 1, 2006 – The Chicago Shamrox are proud to announce that Jamie Batley has been hired as the first Head Coach and General Manager in franchise history. Batley has coached for nearly a decade and is considered one of the leagues top coaches. Batley most recently served as the Head Coach/GM of the Colorado Mammoth from 2003-2005 where he led the team to two division titles. » More
NLL Championship Viewing Party a Success!

May 17, 2006 – The Chicago Shamrox hosted over 200 people at GameWorks in Schaumburg to watch the NLL Championship game between the Colorado Mammoth and the Buffalo Bandits. Club executives Connie Kowal and Phil Ryan were in attendance to greet the fans and merchandise for the newly-named club was on sale.

Reserve Your Season Tickets Today
Ticket pricing and general ticket information will be announced soon. However, you will be contacted directly if you signed up and sent your $25 deposit to be a Priority List Season Ticket holder.

In early August, the Shamrox will have special seat selection days for those on the Priority List to choose their Season Ticket locations. These Season Ticket holder “Select Your Seats” days will be announced via a personal email notification and priority list members will have the opportunity to select seats before the general public can purchase tickets.

So get ready, “Select Your Seats” days are coming soon. You can visit ChicagoShamrox.com and click Arena to get a glimpse of the configuration of the Sears Centre arena.
