Carter Livingstone

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL November 13, 2007 – The assistant captain of the 2007 Chicago Shamrox, Carter Livingstone, signed a new contract with the Shamrox that will keep him in Chicago until the end of the 2009 season. Livingstone played in 15 games during the Inaugural Season of the Shamrox and scooped up 55 looseballs and 5 assists.

“I am really excited about resigning with the Shamrox,” said defenseman Carter Livingstone. “The team is run like a first class organization and I am proud to be a part of it. I look forward to competing for the Champion’s Cup and bringing a championship home to the Windy City.”

Livingstone is no stranger to bringing championships home. During the 2002 and 2003 seasons, Livingstone played for the Toronto Rock and helped the Rock secure back-to-back championships.

Selected 17th overall in the 2006 NLL Expansion Draft by the Shamrox, Livingstone was monumental in helping the Shamrox be extremely competitive in their first year in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Not only did Livingstone perform on the field, but he was a valuable asset off the field serving as the assistant captain of the Shamrox. With a large amount of the Shamrox roster containing either rookies or younger players, Livingstone served as a role model to the guys.

Livingstone is a full-time teacher for a high school in Canada, where he also serves as a coach for their lacrosse team.

The Chicago Shamrox are currently selling season, group and individual tickets. The Shamrox take the field for their second season in Chicago on January 5 when they play the Toronto Rock at 7:00pm at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. The 2008 season features 8 Home Games that are played on weekend dates. In their Inaugural Season, the Shamrox drew an average attendance of 6,025 and record of 6-10, missing the playoffs by a tie breaker.
