SCOTT SELF TO MAKE SECOND NLL ALL-STAR APPEARANCE

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL February 27, 2008 – Chicago Shamrox defender Scott Self was selected today as a reserve player on the East All-Star team this year. The 2008 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game will be played at the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday, March 16th at 3:00p.m. EST.

Self will be making his second NLL All-Star Game in his eight year career in the league. In his first year with the Shamrox, Self has played an important role defensively with the team and has racked up 2 points and 30 loose balls. An assistant captain of the Chicago Shamrox, Self was acquired by the Shamrox during the 2007 off-season.

“It’s an honor to be selected to the 2008 NLL All-Star Game and represent the Shamrox,” said Scott Self. “I am looking forward to meeting up with other star players in the league and showing the league what we got in terms of talent.”

The Shamrox (1-5) host the Rochester Knighthawks (3-4) this weekend at the Sears Centre Arena on Saturday, March 1 at 7:00p.m. EST.
