Brandon Miller Sent to Philadelphia Wings and Lindsay Plunkett Sent to Edmonton Rush

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL March 5, 2008 – The Chicago Shamrox announced today that they have made two separate trades that will send Brandon Miller to the Philadelphia Wings and Lindsay Plunkett to the Edmonton Rush.

Chicago’s trade with Philadelphia sent goalie Brandon Miller and a second round selection in the 2008 Entry Draft to the Philadelphia Wings in exchange for goalie Matt Roik, defender Brad Self, a first round selection in the 2009 Entry Draft and a second round selection in the 2010 Entry Draft.

Roik finished the 2006 season with a 77.2% save percentage and an 11.42 GAA in 15 games. Over his six year career in the National Lacrosse League, he has played in 69 games and was the starting goalie for his team four out of the six years.

Self, whose brother Scott Self currently plays for the Shamrox, is a four year veteran of the league. In 2006, Self played in eight games scoring 17 points (6g, 11a) and scooped up 62 looseballs.

In a trade with the Edmonton Rush, Chicago sent forward Lindsay Plunkett to the Rush in exchange for conditional third round selections in the 2008 Entry Draft and the 2009 Entry Draft.

Chicago also signed their number one pick in the 2007 Entry Draft, Kevin Ross, and placed him on the Active Roster.
